E-BI Publisher: After Upgrading Oracle Management Service (OMS) Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to 13.5 and Setting Up EMAIL Delivery in BI Publisher is Failing With "Could not establish connection.mail.util.MailConnectException" Error (Doc ID 2797322.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading OMS/OEM from 13.4 to 13.5 and setting up EMAIL Delivery on xmlpserver is failing with the following error which is noticed in the "iserver1.out" log file:


Both the email server and server hosting the xmlpserver have not be changed.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1.  Log into xmlpserver (e.g. HOST:PORT/xmlpserver).

2.  Navigate to Administration tab.

3.  Navigate to Delivery -> Email.

4.  Select Server.

5.  Add Email Server information.

6.  Test Connection.

 Upgraded OMS/OEM from 13.4 to 13.5.
