After Session Timeout Wrong User Name Populated in User Name Field of Login Page (Doc ID 2797337.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 10, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Applications Framework - Version 12.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Wrong user name appeas in login page (R12.2.5 or higher).

It gets reproduced intermittently and very rarely.

  1. User A logs in and gets session time out.
  2. The user is redirected to login page. Since there is an expired cookie in the browser user name A should appear in greyed out form.
  3. But user B is appearing in the login page. Found in logs that User B also logs in same time.

Same kind of discussion in MOS Community How to disable the previous username display in the re-login page after session timeout and in Enh 20509414 - DISABLE THE PREVIOUS USERNAME DISPLAY IN THE RE-LOGIN PAGE AFTER SESSION TIMEOUT you can see.

Also if refer to Section 2.3.6. Shared Desktop Security in R12: Recommended Browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite (Doc ID 389422.1) and enable "Force Page Refresh" profile option but the issue happens again.
