Symptoms

On : 12.2.4 version, Inbound Processing

When attempting to ship material from a sending organization for a lot control item in a Parent LPN to an organization code where the item is not lot control, the following error occurs.

ERROR

 |There is a mismatch between LPN content and MOL quantity. |Putaway rule fail to find a destination locator that meets the rules restrictions. Press any key to continue.



STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
A. Item Setup:

    1. Lot controlled material nested within a Parent LPN in inventory. (Material is lot controlled within this Org).  Parent LPN:1234567/ Shipping Org Code:XYZ
  

        a. The Organization Item form show the item 123-4567-000 is full lot control (Shipping Org Code:XYZ)
            The restricted Subinventory box is not checked on the sending organization code.
 
        b. The Organization Item form in the receiving organization code(XXX) is not Lot control).
            Comments: Restricted Subinventory box is checked on the receiving organization code.

B. Steps to Reproduce:

    1. Create shipment using seeded Intransit Shipment function


        a. Open Telnet Session mwa-qa.gentex.com
        b. Navigate to Instransit Ship (Sending Organization Code XYZ)
            To Org :XXX (Receiving Organization)
            Ship Num:LOTTESTXYZ
            LPN:123456789
            Rcpt Date:Day-MONTH-YEAR
            Click on Done > Get Message: Txn Success
 
            Note: At this point the Material is showing as Intransit

   2. On the telnet session select Receiving Menu


       a. Intransit Rerceipt
       b. Navigate to the Receipt window at the destination organization (XXX)
       c. Enter Ship Num:LOTTESTXYZ > Src Org:XYZ > Recpt Num:999999 > Click on Done button
         The application rerturn message: Txn Success.

   3. From receiving organization code XXX navigate to the Material Workbench which show Parent LPN 1234567 for Item 123-4567-000> Receiving Tab show 9090909090

   4. Back to Telnet session on Destination Organization code 2 Select Seeded Move Any LPN Function


       a. Move Any LPN
       b. LPN(Parent LPN)=1234567
       c. Select Drop

       The application raise the following error

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The expected Behavior is for Parent LPN to be delivered to Inventory and retain all nested LPNs.

WHAT HAVE CHANGED

This functionality broke and error began populating after applying <Patch 31155873>.R12.INV.C
