Symptoms

When trying to execute "HR_EMPLOYEE_API.CREATE_EMPLOYEE" API, following error appears

ERROR


ORA-20001: You are no longer permitted to enter a number for this person. Please close and reopen the application window you are using. If you are using an API then please rerun the script that calls the API. Doing this enables the application to generate a sequential number automatically.

ORA-06512: at "APPS.HR_UTILITY", line 939
ORA-06512: at "APPS.PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F_ARIU", line 223
ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'APPS.PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F_ARIU'

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login using SQL Developer

2. Execute the stand-alone script to create employee using the "HR_EMPLOYEE_API.CREATE_EMPLOYEE" API

3. Encounter the above error
