After 12.2.9 Upgrade, 'PSP: Create Distribution Lines' Process Does Not Distribute Based On DATE EARNED (Doc ID 2809265.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 29, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Payroll - Version 12.2.9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After the 12.2.9 upgrade, it was found that the distribution of payroll hours and dollars is no longer based on the date earned; instead it uses the full pay period.  This is seen in the output of the 'PSP: Reconciliation between sublines and distribution lines' concurrent process.

Example:

Before upgrade:

Charging Instructions    Begin                 End                     Debit              Credit
------------------------   ---------------    ----------------  ------------- ----------
[PROJECT NAME]           16-AUG-2021   16-AUG-2021    642.42         0.00

After upgrade, it's showing the end date as the end of the pay period

Charging Instructions    Begin                 End                         Debit          Credit
-----------------------------------------    -------------          ----------    ---------
 [PROJECT NAME]           16-AUG-2021   27-AUG-2021      658.43       0.00

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

From LD SuperUser responsbility, navigate: Processes & Reports > Run

1. Run PSP: Import Payroll Transactions from HRMS
2. Run PSP: Create Distribution Lines
3. Run PSP: Reconciliation between sublines and distribution lines
