Lot Expiration Date Still Shows Populated When Receiving Older Lot After Lot Expiration Control Was Modified to "No Control" (Doc ID 2815352.1)

Last updated on APRIL 23, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Inventory Management - Version 12.2.7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Expiration date still shows populated in the Lot numbers table (MTL_LOT_NUMBERS) for items that had lot expiration updated to "No control"
This happens to existing or old lots that were created before the change. However, on new lots received, this shows NULL.
This should be removed when the old lot is being received again after the change.

Steps
1. Inventory >  Onhand, Availability > Query for the lot > See Expiry date (older date, still appears) > This does not impact any transactions, but, confuses users viewing them.
