Secondary Price Lists Not Recognized in Service Contracts When Multi-Currency Usage Profile Is Enabled (Doc ID 2819823.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 09, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Pricing - Version 12.2 and later
Oracle Service Contracts - Version 12.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After enabling QP: Multi-Currency Usage profile option at the Service Contracts application level for one of product lines in order to eliminate the need to create price lists for EACH currency,
Service Contracts application is no longer able to recognize Secondary Price Lists.

One is using Secondary price lists for all of Services and Service Contract pricing so that items using the same pricing rules in both Order Management and Contracts can be added to the Primary price list, and those items which are priced differently in contracts or Order Management can be added to secondary price lists.

Need to be able to leverage BOTH secondary price lists AND multi-currency conversion.

Steps:

1. Enable QP: Multi-Currency Usage profile

2. Define a price list to be used in Service Contracts application

3. Set a secondary price list to the main price list for items that are priced differently in Order Management and Service Contracts.

4. Service Contracts application is no longer able to recognize secondary price list.
