Lot/Serial does not exist during WIP Return. Error: Lot and/or Serial Number quantity does not match transaction quantity

When attempting to perform 'WIP Return', the 'Return Assembly' page shows the following error:
Lot and/or serial number quantity does not match transaction quantity.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to the concerned 'Work In Progress' responsibility.
2. Query the Job.
3. Click on Return button.
4. Return Assembly pages shows the above error.
