Firm Planned Order (FPO) To Batch Conversion Skips Batches and Does Not Create All the Batches it Should When Clicking Back on Convert Firm Planned Order to Batch Screen (Doc ID 2825437.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 01, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Process Manufacturing Process Execution - Version 12.2.8 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.2.8 version, Firmed Planned Orders

During Firm Planned Order (FPO) to Batch conversion, when there are Inventory Shortages, if you click back on the Convert Firm Planned Order to Batch screen instead of the OK button on the Inventory Shortages screen, you get an error at the bottom of the screen, and batches get skipped in the conversion.

ERROR
----------
FRM-40700: No such trigger: RESTART

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Production Supervisor > Firm Planned Orders
2. Create FPO for a formula in which there is a shortage of an ingredient
3. On the Convert Firm Planned Order to Batch screen (Tools > Convert to Batch), enter a qty per batch that will create multiple batches.
4. Click OK, and if Validity Rule screen comes up, select one and click Use for All.
5. The Inventory Shortage screen pops up. Instead of clicking OK, click back on the Convert Firm Planned Order to Batch screen. At the bottom of the screen, the error displays:
FRM-40700: No such trigger: RESTART
6. Click back on the Inventory Shortages screen, which no longer displays an ingredient. Click OK.
7. The process proceeds, and the user can click OK on the subsequent Inventory Shortages screens, but even though the Convert Firm Planned Order to Batch screen shows all the batch numbers expected, the first few were actually not created. This can be checked by trying to retrieve them on Batch Details (Production Supervisor > Batch Details).
