APP-PJM-58055: Project References Are Not Allowed for the Locator for This Transaction Error When Pick Release Using Execute Now or Concurrent (Doc ID 2826829.1)

Symptoms

Problem Statement
When pick release using execute now button or concurrent button with default staging locator include project number, the following message is shown from the UI.

Error

APP-PJM-58055: Project references are not allowed for the locator for this transaction.
Cause : The transaction does not have project references
Action : Remove the project reference in the locator.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. (N)OM > Orders, Returns > Sales Orders
    Create sales order with project number on project enabled organization.
  2. Reserve for sales order
  3. (N)OM > Shipping > Release Sales Orders > Release Sales Orders
    Inventory tab of pick release screen is entered as below:
    -Project/Task number on top left is blank
    -Default Stage Locator including Project/Task number on bottom right is entered
