Shared HR - When Logged in French Language Special Characters Like Ñ, È Showing Blank Or Symbol In People Form (Doc ID 2827531.1)

Symptoms

For Shared HR user, for both people form and back end query per_all_people_f table, in the French form translation into English, when First Name contain letter like Ñ, È,  the form and table first name field show incorrect information, it is all quoted as "My ID" instead of the real first name of employee.

 

For Shared HR, Special characters like Ñ, È appear as blank or incorrect symbol in First Name field of People form .

It is all quoted as "My ID" instead of real first name of employee.
NOTE: The same is visible when querying the person record from backend table per_all_people_f


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Applied none HR patches

2. In shared HR and payroll , navigate to HR form People Enter and Maintain > query an employee with first name containing Character Like Ñ, È > found the first name is missing with correct information, the field is blank.

3. The same is visible when querying the person record from backend table per_all_people_f, select by first name with character containing like Ñ, È


3. customer is using French language, the form is translated into English when open.

Changes

 Customer applied none HR related patches.
