Adautocfg.sh Issues after Upgrade EBS Database to 19c From 11g - ERRORMSG: Invalid APPS Database User Credentials. (Doc ID 2835692.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.2.6 version, AD UTILITIES

 adautocfg.sh issues after upgrade EBS database to 19c from 11g.

Customer followed Document 2552181.1 for upgrade. 

As per 19c DB Upgrade analyzer report, we have seen some of the mandatory patches have been missed to apply.

The below error is reported in adconfig.log.

PROGRAM : (/d01/xxxx/ebs/fs2/EBSapps/appl/fnd/12.0.0/patch/115/bin/txkManageDBConnectionPool.pl)
TIME : Mon Jan 10 14:45:32 2022
FUNCTION: main::validateAppsSchemaCredentials [ Level 1 ]

 

ERRORMSG: Invalid APPS database user credentials. No updates Performed

 



STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Running Autoconfig on R12 environment Database Tier

1.Login as user owning database tier for R12 

2. Set environment variable by executing env file $ORACLE_HOME/[$SID]_[$hostname].env

3. cd $ORACLE_HOME/ appsutil/ scripts/ $CONTEXT_NAME

4. run adautocfg.sh (Autoconfig script)

 

Changes

 EBS database upgrade to 19c from 11g
