"Viewer: Application For HTML" Profile Doesn't Work With MS Edge And Chrome Browser (Doc ID 2846280.1)

Symptoms

If the profile option "Viewer: Application for HTML" is set to "Microsoft Excel" after creating viewer option setup for HTML output.The HTML report will not exported with Excel format with Microsoft Edge and Chrome Browser. Instead the output Opens as an HTML file.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

If the "Viewer: Application for HTML" profile is set "Microsoft Excel" the output is expected to Excel format.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.Using Edge Browser Log on to EBS application
2.Navigate to System Administrator responsibility -- Install -- Viewer Option
3.Create new entry for HTML file format with below details
      mime Type -- application/vnd.ms-excel
      Description -- Microsoft Excel
       Allow Native Client Encoding -- Yes
4.Navigate to Profile System Values form and assign value "Microsoft Excel" to profile option Viewer: Application for HTML
5.Submit any concurrent program that has output format HTML.

Changes

 Migrated to Microsoft Edge Browser
