Applies to:

Oracle E-Business Suite Technology Stack - Version 12.2.10 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Recently upgraded EBS instance from 12.1.3 to 12.2.10 instance. Later, a cloned 12.2.10 test instance was created having the 12.2.10 upgraded instance as source instance using Rapid Clone.
While comparing the JVM heap memory size configuration among the two instances for each managed server, found that the heap size setting was different.

For example, oacore_server1 managed server shows the following heap memory size settings from WebLogic Admin console.

EBS_domain > Environment > Servers > oacore_server1 > Configuration(Tab) > Server Start(Tab) > Arguments

- Upgraded 12.2.10 instance

-Xms512m -Xmx512m

- Cloned 12.2.10 instance

-Xms1024m -Xmx1024m

Note : Both instance have not manually changed JVM heap memory size settings from WebLogic Admin console , wlst command nor <AD_TOP>/patch/115/bin/adProvisionEBS.pl script

Why is JVM heap memory size settings different among the two instance?
