Getting NULL POINTER EXCEPTION While Clicking Refresh Button in Extra Information Page (Doc ID 2847764.1)

Symptoms

Problem Statement:

When trying to refresh the Extra Information on ESS, following error appears

ERROR

oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: java.lang.NullPointerException
 at oracle.apps.per.selfservice.extrainfotype.webui.EitMainPageCO.processFormRequest

Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login using Employee Self-Service

2. Navigate to Extra Information

3. Click on the three dots on the EIT Table and then click Refresh

4. Encounter the NULL pointer exception error
