Need Proper Way To Resize 2nd Segment From 5 To 6 Digits In Account Flexfield

Need to add a 3rd company to the system.
Currently the account number segment (#2) of the accounting flexfield is 5 digits long. Since all of the numbers are used in the sequences for the 1st and 2nd companies, creation of all the extra sequences required cannot be done.
It is required that the account segment needs to become a little bigger.

When try to increase the maximum size of the value set for a segment of the accounting key flexfield, the following error occurs on various GL forms, such as the create code combination form:

APP-FND-01030: Value &value is longer than its maximum length of &n characters
