Cannot Start SFM Event Manager Queue: "version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6" (Doc ID 285009.1)

Symptoms


After a fresh installation of 11.5.9 using JDK 1.3.1, the SFM concurrent managers cannot be activated and show Target = 1 and Actual = 0.

The concurrent manager's log file shows the following error message:

/d05/tat/tatcomn/util/jre/1.1.8/bin/../lib/i686/green_threads/libzip.so: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference (libzip.so)
Unable to initialize threads: cannot find class java/lang/Thread
Could not create Java VM
