Is there a way to see the previous capacity load before updating capacity of the resources ?

Scenario:

Business will update the capacity of the resources month wise for capacity planning. Any changes to the resource capacity lost the track of earlier capacity planning before system date. i.e., resource capacity changes are even updating the past days capacity and we don't have way to track the capacity planning before changes.
