Symptoms

HMRC Gateway URL is having new certificates issued and valid from 01-Feb-2022 to 02-Mar-2023. 

Subcontractor Verification Process (IGI : CIS2007 Subcontractor Verification Process) submission fails with error in the log after 01-Mar-2022:

 

ERROR:  

Error occurred while connecting to CIS Server ->sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target


STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. OPSF(I): Oracle Public Sector Financials (International) Responsibility > Requests

2. Submit Subcontractor Verification Process (IGI : CIS2007 Subcontractor Verification Process) process after 01-Mar-2022

3. Observe error in the logfile 

 

Changes

 New certificates issued by a different provided are enforced by HMRC.
