When organization doesn not allow negative inventory and doing a Correct Material Transaction it is causing a data issue when getting message "APP-INV-05407 : Quantity will drive inventory negative" and clicking Cancel. (Doc ID 2853428.1)

When attempting to correct material transactions to a qty that is greater than the material originally transacted an error  "APP-INV-05407 : Quantity will drive inventory  negative" is displayed if not enough stock.

If you click cancel after this message it causing a problem with the reversal of the transactions.

 

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

 

  1. Navigate to Inventory> Organization parameters - Negative Inventory parameter needs to be set to “No” for Organization used.
  2. Navigate Production Supervisor > Batches > Create Batch
  3. Release the batch
  4. Navigate the batch details
  5. Find the Ingredient with the requirement qty of 25
  6. On hand of the ingredient is 25.
  7. Click on Transact Material and select the lot which is of Qty 25 and observe the Actual Qty to be updated to 25
  8. Try performing the correction transaction for the above item (Inventory > Correct Material Transaction)
  9. Update the WIP Issue correction transaction to 27 (ie Qty above the original issue transaction /lot qty)
  10. Get error Message "APP-INV-05407 : Quantity will drive inventory negative"
  11. Clicking on cancel
