Restarting Patch 30399999 For 12.2.10 Upgrade Gets ORA-00904: "APPLTOP"."NAME": Invalid Identifier When Executing Adop (Doc ID 2858305.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.2 version, Upgrade related issues

Restarting <> For 12.2.10 Upgrade Gets ORA-00904: "APPLTOP"."NAME": Invalid Identifier When Executing Adop

There is no completion message in logs when you try to rerun patch using adop as follow:


adop restart=yes phase=apply apply_mode=downtime patches=30399999 patchtop=/u02/stageOracle/ebs_12.2.x_upgrade_patches/RUP10

adop is failing with this error:

PROGRAM : (/u01/oracle/12.2/fs1/EBSapps/appl/ad/12.0.0/bin/adzdoptl.pl)
TIME : Sun Feb 06 16:17:02 2022
FUNCTION: ADOP::GlobalVars::_GetMandatoryArgs [ Level 1 ]
ERRORMSG: Cannot identify any valid application tier nodes in
  ADOP_VALID_NODES table. Ensure AutoConfig has been run on all nodes.



STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1- Set the environment

2- Run adop as follow:

adop restart=yes phase=apply apply_mode=downtime patches=30399999 patchtop=/u02/stageOracle/ebs_12.2.x_upgrade_patches/RUP10
