Symptoms
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
Item category security rule is not working, in the List of Values(LOV) of Buyer Work Center.
In the Buyer Work Center pages, the System is displaying all the values in the search results, in the "Category"- List of Values(LOV), ignoring the item category security rules setup.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
In the Buyer Work Center pages, the System will restrict the search results, in the "Category"- List of Values(LOV), based on the item category security rules setup.
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Purchasing Responsibility
2. The security rule ‘XX_ITEM_CATEGORY’, is defined for an item category - XX Items.
3.The security rule is assigned to the responsibility - "Purchasing".
4. In the find requisition form, when we try to search for the categories, the security rule is working.
5.In the ‘Buyer work center’ when we search for the category, it displays all the categories including the restricted one in the security rule - ‘XX_ITEM_CATEGORY’
6. However, while attempting to save the transaction.- Getting error message - invalid category. (Validation occurs only, when the transaction is saved and does not happen while choosing the value in LOV)
