(Doc ID 2862971.1)
Last updated on NOVEMBER 27, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle Report Manager - Version 12.2.5 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Report Manager
Financial Statement Generator (FSG)
Microsoft 'Office Open XML' (OOXML)
Symptoms
Unable to use custom templates to publish reports in 12.2.5 after the upgrade. They are not rendered correctly in Excel, showing the template instead of the report itself.
WHAT WORKS:
All the standard templates work fine and display the reports correctly in Excel.
New custom templates created on the upgraded instance work fine.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
Expected to be able to use the same templates as before the upgrade, for the Financial Statement Generator (FSG) reports.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Post upgrade to 12.2: Report Manager Responsibility >Submit a new report
2. Pick a custom template and Excel as output
3. Observe the Excel output once the run is complete
4. Note that the output shows the template's details instead of the report itself
Changes
Upgraded from 12.1 to 12.2.5 and enabled Microsoft 'Office Open XML' (OOXML).
