Symptoms

When attempting to to edit the ssl.conf file from Oracle Fusion Middleware Control Console (for example, http://<hostname>.<domain>:<AdminServer Port>/em).
the following error occurs.

ERROR

javax.management.InstanceNotFoundException: Unable to contact MBeanServer for com.bea:Name=forms_server1,Location=forms_server1,Type=ServerRuntime
at weblogic.rmi.internal.ServerRequest.sendReceive(ServerRequest.java:205)
at weblogic.rmi.internal.BasicRemoteRef.invoke(BasicRemoteRef.java:222)
at javax.management.remote.rmi.RMIConnectionImpl_1036_WLStub.getAttribute(Unknown Source)
at javax.management.remote.rmi.RMIConnector$RemoteMBeanServerConnection.getAttribute(RMIConnector.java:906)


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Log into Oracle Fusion Middleware Control Console (for example, http://<hostname>.<domain>:<AdminServer Port>/em).

2. Select web tier target under the EBS domain.

3. Navigate to Administration, then Advanced Configuration.

4. Navigate to Administration, then Advanced Configuration.

5. Selecting ssl.conf file for edit throws the error message
