Oracle Service Contracts - Version 12.2.5 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On : 12.2.5 version, Contracts Billing/Termination
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Incorrect credit amount is being prompted by the system when trying to terminate a service contract.
Example : Contract X is billed for 25000.00 USD from 21-DEC-20 and total value of contract including pending billing cycles is 75000.00.But when user tries to Terminate , System calculates and displays a higher amount than actually billed.
i.e It shows review amount as 33774.94 which is higher than the billed amount , Finally submitting for termination actually generates credit for correct amount.
However , This review amount mismatch is causing user confusion.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect the termination review amount to be same as the actual termination amount.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Service Contracts Responsibility
2. Query for a Contract X whose first billing cycle is billed from Order Management and terminate it
3. Click on 'Review' button to know the Termination credit amount
4. Review credit amount displayed is actually higher than the amount billed so far.
