Layout Not Defaulted If One Does Not Click Layout Tab Under Schedule Requests in Self Services Page or Forms (Doc ID 2868217.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 14, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Concurrent Processing - Version 12.2.4 to 12.2.4 [Release 12.2]
Oracle Self-Service Human Resources - Version 12.2.11 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : EBS R 12.2.11 version, Schedule Concurrent Requests

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
After upgrading to EBS R12.2.11 version, Layout is not defaulting when scheduling a concurrent request from Self Services OAF Page,
because of which report is failing to generate output.

Same issue occurs when scheduling in the forms as well.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expected that in EBS R12.2.11 version layout is picked automatically (defaulted) when scheduling request from self service page.

NOTE:this is working as expected in 12.2.10 version.

You may also see the following error:

ERROR
"The concurrent request <NNNN>did not create an output file."

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Using System Administrator responsibility->System Administration->Schedule Requests (or similar menu function added to SSHR responsibility)
2. Submit a concurrent request (e.g. Absence report (XML))
3. Click Continue to skip through other tabs and then submit the request
4. Note that there is no template defaulted for the request in Review Request page before submission and due to this there is no output generated after process run is finished.
