Unable to Close Period - No Error Listed in Subledger Exception Report

When attempting to close the period, the following error message is raised:
- The Subledger Exception Report does not show any transaction or receipt with the issue.
- Running the Unposted Items Report helps in determining that there is an unposted receipt.
- The Receipt Analyzer for the receipt listed in the Unposted Items Report shows that there is an event marked as posted in XLA tables, but marked as unposted in the AR tables.
Below is an example of how the data may look like in the XLA_EVENTS table for a specific event_id, showing that the event is processed/posted as EVENT_STATUS_CODE and PROCESS_STATUS_CODE both have value 'P':

However, the same event_id is listed as unposted in the AR tables (i.e. POSTING_CONTROL_ID = -3). The below example is using the AR_CASH_RECEIPT_HISTORY_ALL table:
CASH_RECEIPT_HISTORY_ID POSTING_CONTROL_ID EVENT_ID
6249043 -3 1234567
6249057 -3 1234567
Although the above is an example for the AR_CASH_RECEIPT_HISTORY_ALL table, similar issue may be found in the AR_RECEIVABLE_APPLICATIONS_ALL table (for CASH receipts) or in the AR_MISC_CASH_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL table (for MISC receipts).
