While Querying Any Item In Item Form, System Throws Error 'APP-FND-01564: ORACLE error 24345 in fdlget' (Doc ID 2870259.1)

Symptoms

While querying any item in master or organization item form, system throws Error 'APP-FND-01564: ORACLE error 24345 in fdlget'

The error comes even with just '%' in the item number field.


ERROR

APP-FND-01564: ORACLE error 24345 in fdlget
Cause: fdlget failed due to ORA-24545: A Truncation or null fetch error occurred
The SQL statement being executed at the time of the error
Was:  SELECT MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_FVL.SEGMENT1 C0,
  MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_FVL.SEGMENT2 C1,
  MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_FVL.SEGMENT3 C2,

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to item master form (Navigate: Inventory >Items >Master Items)
2. Query the item with % in the item number field.
3. See the error
