Journal Approval Not Using Correct User Authorization Limits (Journal Line Amount Instead of Batch Amount) (Doc ID 287494.1)

Symptoms

You are able to approve journals with total amount exceeding the authorization limits.

When you create a journal having multiple lines with total journal amount greater than the approval limit the journal can be approved by the preparer.

Even when the journal can not be approved by the preparer and follows to a supervisor, it may be approved by someone with insufficient authorization limits.

This issue does not occurs when at least one of the journal lines has an amount greater than the approver's limit. In such cases the journal is submitted for approval to the approver with the proper approval limit.
