Why Doesn't Mobile (MSCA) Picking Screen Not Execute Custom Code Call To CustomScanManager? (Doc ID 2876696.1)

Last updated on JULY 07, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Warehouse Management - Version 12.2.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The following document was reviewed but doesn't explain the issue being encountered.
The difference is that we added custom PL/SQL code to hook API INV_PREPROCESS_SCAN instead of creating a custom java class.
The result is the same in that the custom code does not get called.

<> - Mobile (MSCA) Picking Screen Does NOT Execute Custom Code (No Call To CustomScanManager)

When we simulated scanning in telnet (by CTRL+\), the custom code is called.
However, when trying to scan a barcode with real scanner nothing happens.
Is there an explanation as to why the custom code isn't being called?
Also, regarding the Data Stream Indicator (DSI) value, does it affect existing scanning solutions?
