EBS Cloud Manager Discovery Request Failed for "Application Tier Block Volume Configuration Valid?" (Doc ID 2877183.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to Discover an Oracle E-Business Suite Instance
the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
Either the required application tier block volumes were not found, or they are configured with File Storage Service (FSS) which is currently not supported by EBS Cloud Manager.

 

LOG
-----------------------

ebscm_logs\apps-unlimited-ebs\out\<env>\pre-discover-ebs-999\date>_<time>-999\readinessGeneration\executeChecksForEbsStandards.log shows the following information:

EBSInstanceValidator::appComputeLogicalVolValidation: INFO: Running compute logical volume validation for app node(s)

EBSInstanceValidator::_validateComputeLogicalVolValidation: INFO: node type=<appTier> ipStr = <IP Address> ...

EBSInstanceValidator::_validateComputeLogicalVolValidation: INFO: [IP Address]: _validateComputeLogicalVolValidation:: Validating LVM...

EBSInstanceValidator::_validateComputeLogicalVolValidationForGivernIp: INFO: Checking for Logical Volume existence on node with ip IP Address

EBSInstanceValidator::_validateComputeLogicalVolValidationForGivernIp: INFO: [IP Address]: LVM FAILED...

EBSInstanceValidator::blockVolumeGroupViolation: INFO: Running block volume group violation

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager
2. Click the Navigator icon, select Administration, and then select Discovery
3. In the Discovery Requests page, click Submit Discovery Request
