Where Does The Supply Subinventory And Locator Come From For Ingredients in Phantom Batches? Can They Be Based On The Phantom Item Setup? (Doc ID 2882143.1)

Last updated on JULY 08, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Process Manufacturing Process Execution - Version 12.2.9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Customer is trying to determine where the phantom batch ingredients' subinventory and locator are derived from. Customer knows the OPM Process Execution parameters Supply Subinventory and Supply Locator will default in. They have set up the supply subinventory, supply locator, yield subinventory, and yield locator on the item Process Manufacturing tab for both the parent and phantom item number, but customer believes they get ignored for phantom batch ingredients. Customer needs to be able to set the defaults based upon the phantom parent or phantom. How can this be done?

Customer seems to be expecting that the ingredients in the phantom batch would get their supply subinventory/locator based on the item setup of the phantom item, instead of the setup of the individual ingredients.
