Goal
This document was created to let users to understand Why sometimes multiple records are updated when only one address was changed in the Customer Form? (treating linked addresses as a single object).
To address this question, this document provide some Basic concepts related with Addresses Managing, and describe some scenarios and related questions (listed bellow), explaining when this occurs, and when not, and how to deal with this intended behaviors.
- How to Create an un-linked address for an Account? (making this address independent from other record addresses for the same Party)
- How to create an address for one account, linking it with another account address? (causing that multiple address are managed as a single object).
- What is best to do: create un-linked addresses for each account? Or share linked addresses between different Party Accounts?
- What should be do when updating linked-addresses?
