Unable To Close Opm Batches From Batch Group Management

Symptoms
When trying to close batches from Batch Group Management, the following error is raised:
No open period found for the date entered.
They are expecting for batches to be closed at the end of last opened period.
Steps:
1. Production Supervisor responsibility;
2. Find all completed batches for one organization.
3. Select batches in case.
4. From the Actions drop-down list select Close.
5. The error is raised.
