Symptoms

An error is displayed when attempting to change the salary basis of an assignment record.

ERROR
-----------------------
APP-PAY-51106: Currency required for monetary Element Type.

Currency code must not be null for an Element Type that has an Input Value with Money Unit of Measure

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

From HRMS Manager responsibility (or equivalent)
  1. Navigate to assignment form: People > Enter and Maintain > query for employee > Assignment
  2. Attempt to change the Salary Basis and get error
