Last updated on SEPTEMBER 16, 2022

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Problem Statement:

When attempting to create a new employee, the application allows to save the record with no data in Civil Identity Number field from People form, even if the nationality is Saudi Arabian and the field is Yellow (mandatory).
Expected Behavior:
As per Saudi Legislation, if the nationality is Saudi Arabian, the Civil Identity Number field is mandatory and the application should raise an error.

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Under SA HRMS Manager responsibility
1. (N) People > Enter and Maintain > Search for existing employee - Notice that Civil Identity Number is not mandatory

2. (N) Additional Information Tab and enter mandatory field Nationality=Saudi Arabian - At this point Civil Identity Number field became yellow (like mandatory fields)

3. Click on Save with no data in Civil Identity Number field - record is saved with no error/warning
