Unable To Update Task Schedule Dates on the Self Service Web Application as the Following Error is Received: "Row 1 Error - Project: 'XXX' Invalid organization. You cannot use the specified organization to create projects of this project type class.." (Doc ID 2897965.1)

Symptoms

When altering the task end date in the self service application after setting the Organization Classifications: "Project Task Owning Organization" | "Others" |  "Project Type Class Information" as below, error is returned.

Allow Entry of Indirect Projects = No
Allow Entry of Capital Projects = No
Allow Entry of Contract Projects = No

When making this exact same change in the forms based application, the error is not returned. Users are not allowed to save the change in the self service application.  

ERROR:

Row 1 Error - Project: 'XX' Invalid organization. You cannot use the specified organization to create projects of this project type class. Choose a different organization or add the project type class to the current organization. (TASK=X)

The message is PA_INVALID_PT_CLASS_ORG_AMG

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. The setup for an organization is (example):

Projects responsibility | Setup | Resources and Organization | HR Foundation | Work Structures | Organization

Organization form:  Name = Organization 1
Organization Classifications: "Project Task Owning Organization" => Click "Others".
In the "Project Type Class Information" screen, set:
Allow Entry of Indirect Projects = No
Allow Entry of Capital Projects = No
Allow Entry of Contract Projects = No

2. Steps to update schedule dates:

Project Super User 
a. Open Project Number = Project 1, Organization = Organization 1
b. From Shortcuts LOV menu, choose "Update Tasks"
c. Now in Workplan | Tasks | Update Tasks screen:  Expand all tasks | click update pencil next to task 2.0 (Task Name = 2) to update
d. Click on the "Schedule" tab:

Current Schedule:
              Start Date        Finish Date
Schedule 01-Jan-2015     01-Jan-2015

Change Finish Date, i.e. 01-Jan-2016 | click save
 
3. Error Received: Row 1 Error - Project: 'Project 1' Invalid organization. You cannot use the specified organization to create projects of this project type class.  Choose a different organization or add the project type class to the current organization. (TASK=2)

Changes

 Altered a task's end date.
