Is it possible to Retrieve the Attachments that were NOT Saved while submitting an Absence Transaction?

While submitting an Absence Transaction, if the End User attaches a document in the Review Page but fails to check the "Save Attachments" checkbox, then the Absence record gets saved to Database but the attachment is not visible.
Is it possible to retrieve those lost attachments from database and re-attach them to the corresponding Absences?
