Symptoms

When attempting to upload the Online Vat Data Extraction for Spain (SII) XML output to Tax Authority, the report is rejected with the following error:

<siiR:CodigoErrorRegistro>1143</siiR:CodigoErrorRegistro>
               <siiR:DescripcionErrorRegistro>Valor de campo NIF del bloque IDFactura con tipo incorrecto</siiR:DescripcionErrorRegistro>

The error can be seen in error report received from Tax Authority portal.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Navigate to Spanish AP/AR localization responsibility.

2. View > Requests > Submit a new request.

3. Run 'Online VAT Data Extraction for Spain'.

4. Upload the file to Tax Authorities Portal.
