R12: AP: Account Payable - Create Accounting Program Completing In Error 'An internal error has occurred in the program xla_accounting_pkg.ValidateAAD' (Doc ID 2901847.1)

Symptoms

The Accounts Payable Create Accounting Program completes in error. The following error message is shown in the Accounting Program log file:

This can be reproduced by doing the following:

1. Log in as the Payables Manager
2. Navigate to / Other / Requests
3. Query the "Create Accounting" and submit the program to run.
4. Review the log file of the Accounting Program that runs after the Create Accounting Program and see that there is an error.

When running the Application Accounting Definition Validation process to resolve the error, the report shows that the status of the Application Accounting Definition for the event class is "Validating." However, no Application Accounting Definition Program is currently running.

This can be reproduced by running

1. Log in as the Payables Manager
2. Navigate to / Concurrent / Program
3. Run the Application Accounting Definition Validation process for Payables
