Task or Project Information Is Disappearing From The Purchasing Documents

Symptoms
On : 12.2.9 version, Purchase Order
While trying to edit the Purchase Order (PO) distribution with Project and Task details from buyer work center, the Task is disappearing from the exiting Purchase Order distribution after saving the changes.
After saving the changes, the user anticipates that the Task information will remain in the Purchase Order distribution.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to iProcurement Respsonbility
2. Create a REQ with project and task info - approve and auto create a PO from this requisition.
3. Go into BWC and view the PO
4. Go into distribution of the PO and view the task/project - all there
5. Edit a PO distribution with a task
6. Save the changes
7. The task details are gone
