Symptoms

When attempting to reclass an asset, the following error occurs.


ERROR

Error : Amount Cleared xxxx does not equal amount inserted xxxx.xx cannot create balanced journal entries

Cause : You have a database problem.
Action : Contract Your System Administrator

User Defined Exception

Error : Function FA_DISTRIBUTION_PVT.do_distribution returned failure.
Error : Function FA_RECLASS_PVT.do_reclass returned failure
Error : Function FA_RECLASS_PUB.do_reclass returned failure

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Fixed Assets Responsibility
2. Query the asset through Asset Workbench form

FA > Assets > Asset Workbench

3. Through Open button provide the new Category for the asset to reclass.
