Transaction Date & GL Date Show Sales Order Booked Date Instead Of Ship Date (Doc ID 290556.1)

Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Receivables - Version 11.5.9 to 11.5.10.3 [Release 11.5.9 to 11.5.10]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Transaction Date & GL date shows sales order booked date instead of ship date.

Consider the following example:
- Enter a sales order on 28th Aug.
- Ship it on 29th Aug.
- Run Autoinvoice Import Program.
- AR Transaction date & GL date shows 28th Aug but you expect transaction & invoice date to be transactional date, the date on which transaction was made.
- OPM Inventory (Transaction inquiry window) picks from Schedule Ship date & displays 29th Aug 2004.
- Also set OM auto schedule 'Yes' and system automatically picks requested date as schedule ship date. If you don't manually change schedule ship date to actual transaction date, the system picks schedule date/ requested date as OPM transaction date
.
Say, on 28th Sep you book the order and 29th Sep you ship through:
Sales Order form -> Tools --> Schedule -> Reservation detail (hard reservation),
Progress order, Workflow background process, autoinvoice import process.
(NOT using Release Sales Order and Shipping Transaction form)
line type = INK_LINE_TYPE
Line Flow= Line Flow - Generic, Bill only with inventory interface.
OPM Transaction date shows 28th Sep unless one changes manually, the schedule ship date. AR Transaction date & GL date still shows 28th Aug only.
