Getting Error "FRM-40200: Field is protected against update" while enabling Line Set for Promotional Modifier (Doc ID 2908416.1)

Symptoms

Modifier Setup

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

In 12.2.10 - when customer tries to check Line set while creating promotional modifier, error is thrown
Error: FRM-40200: Field is protected against update.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Should be able to check Line Set box for promotional item modifier.

STEPS

  1. Log into Oracle Applications
  2. Go to Order Pricing Global Responsibility
  3. Set Profile Option Name: OM: Line Set on Promotional Item : Modifier Setup
  4. Navigate to Modifiers ->Modifier Setup
  5. Choose Type as Promotion and enter the details
  6. Go to Define Details screen and Enable the Line Set 
  7. Error is thrown: FRM-40200: Field is protected against update
