Why Change In Header Status Of The Quote Updates Last_update_date In Quote Lines Table ASO_QUOTE_LINES_ALL (Doc ID 2915015.1)

When updating quote header information, why system updates ASO_QUOTE_LINES_ALL table?

Issue can be reproduced using following steps:

1) Query any existing quote.

Navigation: Quoting User Responsibility > Quotes > Dashboard > Query any existing quote.

2) Note the last_update_date of ASO_QUOTE_HEADERS_ALL and ASO_QUOTE_LINES_ALL tables from backend, before update.

3) Change the quote status and save the changes

Navigation: Quoting User Responsibility > Quotes > Dashboard >Query any existing quote> Change the header status

4) Check the last_update_date of ASO_QUOTE_HEADERS_ALL and ASO_QUOTE_LINES_ALL tables.

5) We can see that last_update_date in ASO_QUOTE_LINES_ALL table is also got changed although only header level change was made.
