Special Information Types (SIT) Duplicate Validation for Sysdate Not Working As Expected (Doc ID 2918807.1)

Last updated on MARCH 01, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Self-Service Human Resources - Version 12.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Duplicate Special Information Types (SIT) records validation doesn't happen correctly if you enter start date from sysdate and user is able to submit a duplicate request.

Transaction will fail only after approval.

Functionality works if start date is different from sysdate, then correct error message appears.

" Your changes have not been sent for approval because the following error occurred: This record has been entered already."

STEPS

-----------------------

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. (N) Employee Self-Service -> Special Information -> Create a new record with start date using sysdate -> Do not submit transaction.

2. Create a new record with same information also with start date on sysdate-> Able to submit transaction.

3. Approver gets the notification and approve -> User receive an error notification with error "The changes were not applied because This record has been entered already".

4. Same is not happening if start date is another date in the future (i.e. sysdate+2) -> first request is not submitted / second  gets an error when try to submit.

" Your changes have not been sent for approval because the following error occurred: This record has been entered already".
