Symptoms

BBA process in error FDPSTP failed due to ORA-01086: savepoint 'RPRC' never established in this sess

While running the BBA process in PROD, we got this error and are unable to proceed.

ERROR

Cause: FDPSTP failed due to ORA-01086: savepoint 'RPRC' never established in this session or is invalid
ORA-06512: at "APPS.PAY_BATCH_BALANCE_ADJ_PKG", line 1184
ORA-02290: check constraint (HR.PAY_MESSAGE_LI_SOURCE_TYPE_CHK)

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. US HRMS Manager > Mass Information eXchange: MIX > BBA Spreadsheet Interface
2. Process Batch Balance Adjustment
3. Observe error
