Last updated on FEBRUARY 08, 2023

Applies to:

BI Publisher (formerly XML Publisher) - Version 12.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

As a part of setting up BI Publisher High Availability followed steps as mentioned in document "What Has To Be Shared In Oracle Bi Publisher 11G 12c Cluster Environment? (Doc ID 1952502.1)"

1) Created shared directory, mounted on both the servers.

2) Copied bidata to shared directory, changed the bi_env.yaml file

3) Setup Node 1

    ->  $JAVA_HOME/bin/java -Xmx1024m -jar /u01/bip/software/fmw_12.2.1.3.0_infrastructure.jar \
-silent -responseFile /u01/bip/software/weblogic.rsp \
-invPtrLoc /u01/bip/software/oraInst.loc

  -> ./bi_platform-12.2.1.3.0_linux64.bin -silent -responseFile /u01/bip/software/obiee.rsp \
-invPtrLoc /u01/bip/software/oraInst.loc -ignoreSysPrereqs

   -> $MW_HOME/bi/bin/config.sh -silent -responseFile /u01/bip/software/bi_config.rsp \
-invPtrLoc /u01/bip/software/oraInst.loc

4. After that followed the step given below documentation to extend it to 2nd node :

https://docs.oracle.com/en/middleware/fusion-middleware/12.2.1.3/biedg/scaling-oracle-business-intelligence.html#GUID-9EBBC3E4-8BB2-4592-99E4-16A2579F2EC8

5. Started Node managed on node 2 using cmd line, started the MS2 from console, both the servers are up and running but xmlpserver login is not working when both are running.
