Symptoms

Cannot issue older serial revision assembly to new Job same assembly number

In inventory an assembly item as Revision B and serialized.
Need to change that to same Assembly Revision D.

Assembly Item attributes are Revision Control Yes and Serial Generation = Predefined.



ERROR
-----------------------
Serial Number B is defined for a different revision. The Serial Number B is defined for revision D.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Use any responsibility that can assign and update revisions

1. Create a Non Std Job. Start Date todays Date. Qty. 2
2. No Reference to BOM or to Routing.
3. Unreleased status save.
4. Go to Material Requirements and Assign the Component Item with Subinventory. save.
5. Go Back to Job and Unrelease Job. --> Go To Serial Button and select the item / serial . REV B in inventory. Save and get error.
6. Serial Number B is defined for a different revision. The Serial Number B is defined for revision D.
