R12: AP/XLA: Unable to Close the Period as Some Multiperiod Accounting Headers Will not Transfer to the GL with Error : "95325 : The GL date 01-JAN-2020 is not in an Open or a Future Enterable Period" (Doc ID 2938776.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to close a period the period close exception report shows headers accounted but not transferred to the General Ledger.

When running "Complete Multiperiod Accounting" to transfer these headers the following error is shown:

95325 : The GL date 01-APR-2023 is not in an open or a future enterable period.

To close a period:

  1. From a Payables responsibility navigate to Accounting -> Control Payables Periods
  2. Enter in the ledger in question and hit "Find"
  3. Select the period in question
  4. Change the period status to "Closed"
  5. Hit tab
  6. A message saying "APP-SQLAP-10304: You cannot close this period because exceptions exist" will appear
  7. Click "OK"
  8. Click "Exceptions"
  9. Click "Review"
  10. This will submit a concurrent request, review the output of the request to see the transactions holding up the close.

To run "Complete Multiperiod Accounting"

  1. From a Payables responsibility navigate to Other -> Requests -> Run
  2. Choose "Single Request" and click "OK"
  3. In the name field enter "Complete Multiperiod Accounting" and hit tab
  4. Fill out the fields and click "OK"
  5. Click "Submit"
